Building a cultured way of life within the People's Public Security Force.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 14, 2014, the Nghe An Provincial Police held a conference to summarize the three-year implementation of the campaign "Police officers strictly abide by regulations, build a cultured lifestyle for serving the people." Comrade Tran Hong Chau, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, attended the conference.

The provincial police force has always considered this campaign as one of the important aspects in force building, contributing to the further development of the "Emulation for National Security" movement. Alongside propaganda efforts, various forms such as organizing forums and implementing slogans like "Listening to the people's opinions," "Saturdays and Sundays for the people," and "Cultivating virtue and rectifying conduct" have been implemented. Police units throughout the province have organized 85 seminars and 22 competitions on etiquette, conduct, and the attitude of police officers towards the people.

The Provincial Police also regularly conducted inspections and supervision of regulations and cultural conduct in all 56 departments and district/city police stations. Through this, 192 violations were handled, and 59 violations were recorded during interactions with citizens. The campaign resulted in the emergence of many exemplary individuals and groups in various fields of work, with 609 collectives and 1759 individuals receiving awards from various levels. Among them, one collective and one individual were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces, one individual received the "Glory of Vietnam" award, and many collectives and individuals received various medals and decorations.

The conference also identified the causes and shortcomings that need to be addressed and outlined several key tasks for the future.

Speaking at the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee praised the achievements of the Nghe An Public Security force in implementing the campaign; at the same time, he pointed out that some police officers still have authoritarian attitudes, causing inconvenience to the people, and some even violate the ethics and conduct expected of a people's police officer. He requested that the Nghe An Public Security force continue to develop this campaign in both breadth and depth so that the image of police officers becomes more positive in the eyes of the people and shines brighter in social life.

Also at the conference, the Nghe An Provincial Police Department held a signing ceremony for the emulation campaign "Strictly adhering to regulations, building a cultured lifestyle for serving the people" and awarded prizes to collectives and individuals who achieved many accomplishments in the past period.
