Building a Decree to adjust preschool teachers' pensions

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh assigned the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs and relevant agencies to develop and submit to the Government a draft Decree on adjusting pension levels, labor disability allowances and allowances for preschool teachers with working time before 1995 according to simplified procedures.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Home Affairs to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and relevant agencies to develop and submit to the Government a draft Decree on basic salary levels for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces.

Previously, the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 99/2015/QH13 dated November 11, 2015 on the 2016 state budget estimate, in which it decided: "Implement salary adjustments for people with pensions, labor capacity loss allowances under VND 2,000,000/month and allowances for preschool teachers with working time before 1995 so that the pensions of these subjects reach the basic salary level, effective from January 1, 2016.

From January 1 to April 30, 2016, continue to implement the adjustment level for the subjects specified in Resolution No. 78/2014/QH13 dated November 10, 2014 of the National Assembly.

From May 1, 2016, the basic salary will be adjusted to increase from VND 1,150,000/month to VND 1,210,000/month (an increase of about 5%) for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and armed forces, ensuring that the income of those with a salary coefficient of 2.34 or lower will not decrease compared to the current level; pensions and preferential allowances for meritorious people will continue to maintain the 8% increase as implemented in 2015"./.
