Building a school network plan according to each stage
(Baonghean.vn) -Following the program of monitoring the implementation of Resolution 271/2009/NQ-HDND on the planning of the network of kindergartens and general schools, this afternoon, April 26, the Culture - Social Committee, Provincial People's Council worked with Yen Thanh district.
The delegation worked with district leaders
According to the report, from the 2008-2009 school year to the 2010-2011 school year, the entire Yen Thanh district merged 8 schools into 4 secondary schools. For primary schools after the merger, it was convenient to invest in building modern facilities, and the assignment of professional groups was reasonable, contributing to improving the quality of teaching. For secondary schools, the construction of facilities such as functional rooms was focused on standardization, creating a movement of quality teaching and learning. The assignment of teachers to teach the right subjects was reasonable, creating conditions to promote good capacity. It is worth mentioning that after the merger, the investment in construction with a standardized, solidified, and modernized scale was promoted to improve the quality of education and build national standard schools.
However, ensuring facilities at a location after the merger is still limited due to lack of timely construction, and the travel of teachers and students is still difficult due to distance and degraded roads. In secondary schools after the merger, the merger is still in two areas, so the effectiveness of the merger is not high. The propaganda to raise awareness in the work of planning the school network to each person is sometimes limited, some cadres, party members and people are not aware of the importance of planning work, which affects the planning progress according to the roadmap. Accordingly, the district recommends: There should be a support mechanism to build facilities before the merger; The implementation roadmap needs to be adjusted to suit the reality of each locality in the merger area; There should be reasonable policies and regimes for schools and teachers in schools that meet national standards.
On behalf of the Supervisory Delegation, Comrade Ton Thi Cam Ha acknowledged the results in the planning of the network of kindergartens and general schools in the district. She also noted that in the coming time, the district needs to direct the development of plans, specific measures, and roadmaps for each stage to implement on schedule. Continue to organize propaganda and mobilization to create consensus among the people on the policy of planning the school network in the area. Mobilize all resources to build facilities to speed up the planning work according to the roadmap to serve teaching and learning well. Regarding the district's recommendations, the Department of Culture and Society will synthesize and submit them to specialized agencies for consideration and resolution.
