(Baonghean) -Currently, Nghe An enterprises have hundreds of registered trademarks but there are still too few products with strong brands. Therefore, building product brands and leading brands in Nghe An is very necessary to both enhance product value and competitiveness and to be in line with the trend of economic integration.

In 2010, our province organized the voting program: Nghe An Top Brand. There were quite a few products of enterprises registered to participate; after specific assessment and screening, the Nghe An Top Brand Voting Council selected 21 typical products of 20 enterprises in the fields of science and technology, information and communication and other departments and branches to participate in the first voting.

The leader of the Department of Industry and Trade said: “The brand of the nominated product is a brand, a trademark registered for exclusive intellectual property protection in Vietnam and fully owned by enterprises and business organizations established in Nghe An. A brand is considered to meet the criteria to be eligible to participate in the Nghe An leading brand program with 550 points. The voting council decided to award the Nghe An leading brand certificate to 10 products of 5 enterprises, which are white and refined sugar products of Nghe An Sugarcane Company Limited; mixed cement and PC 40 Portland products of Hoang Mai Cement Company; CTC black tea products of Nghe An Tea Investment and Development One Member Company Limited; Trung Do Granite tiles; LVN14 hybrid corn products of Nghe An Agricultural Materials Joint Stock Corporation”.

Products that are awarded the Nghe An leading brand certificate will be attached with the logo of the leading brand for their products. Through inspection and evaluation from reality, the products after being certified as Nghe An leading brand have been effective. This is clearly shown in the past time, although the domestic consumption and export markets are complicated, but with CTC black tea products, Nghe An Tea Development Investment One Member Co., Ltd. has still exported to many new markets and is highly appreciated by foreign customers. Or white sugar products, Hoang Mai cement, Granite tiles...

According to the plan, in 2012, the program to vote for Nghe An's top brands will be held for the second time, and according to information from the relevant authorities, this organization has not been carried out for many reasons: it is currently in a period when the production and business situation of enterprises is still facing many difficulties, and there have not been many new prestigious products appearing on the market...

Obviously, in the current integration trend, building a strong brand for Nghe An products is very important, so all levels, functional sectors and businesses need to actively participate in building this goal.
