Building Asia's largest Budweiser brewery in Vietnam
On November 29, BTG Holding Group from Slovakia started construction of Lac Thinh Industrial Park in Lac Thinh Commune, Yen Thuy District, Hoa Binh Province. The total investment capital for the construction of the industrial park is up to more than 45 million euros.
According to the design, Lac Thinh Industrial Park has an area of 220 hectares and will ensure the requirements of a modern industrial park with high-quality infrastructure, a residential area with a hotel, accommodation for managers and workers, customs office, bank, post office, sports center, medical center, etc.
The first two projects that have been granted construction permits in Lac Thinh Industrial Park are the Czech beer factory and the thermal power plant. Both projects are invested by BTG Holding.
The Czech Brewery has a total investment of 86 million euros and produces the world-famous beer - Budweiser Budvar. The factory has a capacity of 190 million liters/year. When it comes into operation, this will not only be one of the largest breweries in Vietnam but also the largest Slovakian beer factory in Asia.
The products of this factory will be exported to countries in the region such as Korea, Japan and China. The factory is expected to start operating in November 2015.
The thermal power plant was built by BTG Holding Group to provide electricity for all factories in Lac Thinh Industrial Park. Investor BTG Holding is committed to applying EU standards on waste discharge and environmental protection while using locally produced renewable fuel sources to contribute to environmental protection. The thermal power plant project has a total investment of more than 100 million euros.
It is expected that the brewery and thermal power plant, when put into operation, will create jobs for at least 2,000 local people.
