A spokesman for the Iraqi Interior Ministry confirmed that a large explosion occurred at the Tuz Khurmatu vegetable market, in which a suicide bomber detonated a truck bomb.
The spokesman did not provide any casualty figures. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the bombing.
Tuz-Khurmatu is a town with a mix of Kurds, Arabs and Turkmen.
In mid-October, the town suffered bloody attacks when Iraqi forces regained control from Kurdish authorities in response to the Kurdish autonomous region's independence referendum./.
