According to people who witnessed the accident, at the time of the accident, the crane with license plate 37C 09090 was parked on the roadside to lift a concrete slab to cover the manhole for the construction of National Highway 1A through Hamlet 11, Quynh Thach Commune, when the driver suddenly lost control, causing the vehicle to rush out onto the road and hit a rock truck with license plate 37C 06448 residing in Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu District, traveling in the direction of Hoang Mai - Vinh. The sudden collision caused the rock truck to flatten its front end and crash into the road divider. The injured truck driver was taken to the Quynh Luu District General Hospital for emergency treatment.
