Petrolimex gasoline tanker catches fire in Laos

On June 21, information from the Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station said that a gasoline truck of the Petrolimex petroleum corporation caught fire in XaKi village, Sepon district, Savannakhet province (Laos).

A gasoline tanker with license plate 43C-016.41 carrying 56 m3 of gasoline was traveling from Lao Bao international border gate to Laos for about ten kilometers when it hit a 7-year-old child, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Immediately, the fire broke out and engulfed the entire car. The fire continued to spread to 4 houses and 1 car nearby and all were burned down.

The driver was lucky to escape death by jumping out of the car. Little Khong Keo, the victim of the car crash, was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized.

Immediately after the accident occurred, Lao Bao International Border Gate Border Guard Station coordinated with Lao authorities to mobilize fire trucks and people to put out the fire.
