Porsche's most affordable car launched in Vietnam

On October 22, the compact SUV Porsche Macan was officially launched in the Vietnamese market with 3 versions.

Macan is currently the most premium model in the 5-seat small SUV segment in the Vietnamese market.

Of which, the standard version has a retail price of 2.69 billion VND, the Macan S version has a retail price of 3.2 billion VND and the Macan Tubor version has a retail price of 4.4 billion VND.

Thus, Macan is the most affordable model of the German sports car brand in the Vietnamese market.

However, this is only a standard price and accordingly, the amount that consumers spend can completely change. Because each Porsche car is only produced after the customer signs a contract with options that have been personalized according to their individual needs.

Porsche representatives said that right before the market launch, there were more than 40 orders for the Macan. Due to the difference in production and distribution processes, customers who order the Macan at this time will have to wait about 7 months to receive the car.

In the Vietnamese market, Porsche Macan has no real competitors even though its size is similar to Mercedes GLK, Audi Q5 or BMW X3.

The exterior of the Macan inherits many design features from its "senior" 911.

Inside, the cockpit has all the familiar features of a sports car. Three round instrument clusters with a central tachometer, a high-resolution 4.8-inch color display on the right instrument cluster.

In addition to the most important of these functions, which are used as a computer, this feature is also displayed on the instrument panel for the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system combined with the global positioning module. The lock is located to the left of the steering wheel.

Leather upholstery is used on all Macan versions. The Macan Turbo is equipped with adaptive sports seats as standard, including 18-way electrically adjustable seats with memory package, leather interior package and aluminum trim.

All versions are offered with an optional interior package using walnut wood and carbon, while oak wood interior is an exclusive trim option. Each trim package is combined with silver accent strips.

The car comes standard with dual-zone climate control with separate temperature and air volume settings for the driver and front passenger, as well as automatic air circulation control with air quality and humidity sensors. A three-zone climate control system is also available as an option for the Macan.

In terms of transmission, the Macan version is equipped with a 2.0-liter I4 engine, 237 horsepower; the Macan S version is equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 engine, 340 horsepower; and the Macan Tubor version is equipped with a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, 400 horsepower. All 3 versions use the 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission developed by Porsche.

According to the German car company's announcement, the Macan's fuel consumption is from 8.4 to 8.9 liters of gasoline per 100km of operation.

Standard equipment for the Macan includes all-wheel drive, multi-function sports steering wheel shift paddles, large wheels and tires, and an electric tailgate.

In addition, Porsche also offers optional equipment packages for the Macan with air suspension, PTV Plus traction control system, automatic headlamps in the PDLS Plus dynamic light system, and Burmester® or Bose premium sound packages.
