(Baonghean.vn) -A tragic accident just happened on Ho Chi Minh road through Thanh Hoa, killing 6 people on the spot, 3 people died on the way to the emergency room and 5 people were hospitalized in critical condition.Most of the victims were from Vinh Son commune, Anh Son district, Nghe An province, on their way to a wedding.
On the afternoon of January 24, Mr. Tong Xuan Cuong, Deputy Head of Traffic Police Team No. 3, Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Province, said that on Ho Chi Minh Highway, through Xuan Quy Commune, Nhu Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, a tragic traffic accident had just occurred, killing 9 people and injuring 5 others in critical condition.

The particularly serious accident occurred at around 2:00 p.m. on January 24, at km 506 on the Ho Chi Minh Highway. At that time, a 16-seat passenger van with license plate 37B-01052, traveling from Nghe An to Thanh Hoa, collided head-on with a truck with license plate 29H-7506 traveling in the opposite direction.

As a result, 6 people on the bus died on the spot, 3 people died on the way to the emergency room, 5 people were seriously injured and are being taken to Nhu Xuan District General Hospital. Currently, 1 victim is in very critical condition.
According to some people living along the road, both cars were traveling at a very high speed, then the 16-seat car had a flat tire, lost control and crashed straight into the truck.
Upon receiving the information, the Nhu Xuan District Police and the Traffic Police Team 3, Traffic Police Department of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, quickly arrived at the scene to investigate and clarify this particularly serious accident.
Most of the victims were from Vinh Son commune, Anh Son district, Nghe An province, on their way to a wedding.
