(Baonghean.vn) - At 2:15 p.m. yesterday, March 4, a 24-seat van was traveling on the road when suddenly the front wheel flew out, the wheel hit a student, seriously injuring him. The van slid more than 100 meters before stopping, many passersby and passengers on the van were startled.

Many witnesses said that the van with license plate 37H 5031 was driven by Nguyen Huu Hoa (Thanh Giang commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An) while drunk. The van was carrying nearly 30 guests returning from a wedding in Que Phong district. At km 88 (National Highway 48a), in Hanh Tien village, Chau Hanh commune (Quy Chau), a front wheel flew off and hit Nguyen Thi Tuyet (13 years old), who was riding a bicycle in the same direction. Tuyet fell onto the asphalt road and had to be taken to Quy Chau Hospital for emergency treatment before being transferred to a higher level due to severe injuries.

The incident is currently being verified and clarified by authorities in Quy Chau district.
