Passenger bus plunged into field, 1 person died, 19 people injured

(Baonghean.vn) - A passenger bus carrying workers suddenly crashed into a field, killing at least one person and injuring 19 others.

The accident occurred at around 5:00 a.m. on November 29, on National Highway 1A, Vinh bypass in Hamlet 10, Nghi Van Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An.

At the above time, the passenger bus with license plate 12LD-0056 (driver's identity unknown) was carrying workers of a Dong Duong trading joint stock company from Lang Son to Nghe An to attend the wedding of an employee of this company.

When the car reached hamlet 10, Nghi Van commune, the driver suddenly lost control, crashed into a roadside marker and plunged into the field.

The car plunged more than 20 meters into the rice field and flipped over, leaving one person dead and 19 others injured.

“When the car reached this area, it suddenly plunged into the field. Everyone in the car knew it was happening but couldn’t get out in time because the car was going too fast,” said a worker who escaped death in the car.

Mr. Pham Van Long - Deputy Director of Hospital 115 Nghe An said: "After the incident, we mobilized 8 ambulances with a team of doctors, nurses, workers and staff to the scene along with the people to rescue those trapped in the ambulance and transport the injured to the hospital for treatment. Currently, there are 19 people being treated at our Hospital 115."
