Passenger bus overtaking recklessly causes accident

(Baonghean) -At around 7:00 p.m. on August 8, on National Highway 1A in Quynh Giang Commune, Quynh Luu (Nghe An), another traffic accident occurred, causing both a passenger bus and a truck to have their front ends crushed, causing local traffic congestion.

The 24-seat passenger bus with license plate 37H 9509 of the "Quyet Can" bus company residing in Quynh Phuong commune, Quynh Luu (Nghe An) was traveling in the direction of Vinh - Hanoi. At km 403 + 200, the driver accelerated to try to pass the bus with license plate 37V - 2904, but just as it reached the same level as the bus, it crashed straight into the truck with license plate 37V - 0011 going in the opposite direction. As a result, both vehicles were crushed in the front. At that time, there were about a dozen people on the bus, some of whom were slightly injured and started breaking the emergency window.

It is worth mentioning that the 24-seat passenger bus of the "Quyet Can" bus company runs daily on the Quynh Phuong - Vinh route, but has repeatedly caused accidents due to reckless overtaking. Although this accident did not cause any fatalities, it caused a partial traffic jam on the route due to panicked passengers jumping off. Meanwhile, the bus owner did not try to deal with the consequences but only worried about covering up the license plate in an attempt to hide his whereabouts.

Immediately after the accident, Quynh Luu district police arrived promptly to direct traffic and deal with the consequences.
