Car plunged into abyss, 10 people injured

(Baonghean.vn) - Mr. Bui Tram, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Son district, said that at around 9:00 a.m. on March 24, a 24-seat vehicle carrying the Military Region 4 Art Troupe to perform for ethnic minorities in My Ly commune, lost control at Xop Tu village and fell into a ravine, injuring 10 people.

According to Mr. Bui Tram, the car was traveling to the Xop Tu village area when it suddenly lost control and crashed into a positive embankment, then fell into a deep abyss of about 2 meters. The accident injured 10 people, 4 of whom were seriously injured, including the driver and the crew members and actors.

Upon hearing the news, Ky Son district mobilized forces to take the injured to Ky Son district hospital for emergency treatment. The seriously injured were immediately taken to the provincial hospital for treatment.

On the afternoon of March 24, the People's Committee of Ky Son district sent functional agencies to visit and encourage the victims being treated at the district hospital.

It is known that the remote commune of My Ly is about 40km from the district center. The road to My Ly commune has many dangerous slopes, especially in the rainy season.

The case is being handled by the authorities.
