The incident happened in the basement of an apartment building in Ha Dong district, Hanoi. Not only this car but also 2 other cars were graffitied because all 3 were parked blocking the entrance to the building's parking lot.
This action has caused a lot of controversy. Many people think that drawing graffiti on cars is synonymous with vandalizing other people's property. "If you park incorrectly, you should remind them, why write a note on someone's car like that? Moreover, what is the purpose of the parking garage security? If you see a customer parking incorrectly, you should remind them from the beginning and tell them to park elsewhere," commented Facebooker Dang Duong.
Account Nguyen Tung also shared: "Culture writers are just as short as parking people. How can you do that just because you're angry? If there are regulations on proper parking, you can report it to the building management board for punishment, but you're not allowed to write graffiti like that. Otherwise, write it on a piece of paper and clip it to the windshield wiper."
"I don't have a car, but I don't agree with writing graffiti or spraying paint on other people's cars. Instead, lock the wheels and warn or fine them. Writing on cars, insulting others, and spraying paint on other people's cars is vandalism, and depending on the severity, you can be prosecuted," Tran Hung commented.
However, there are also opinions that say: "If we keep reminding each other and it doesn't work, we have to do this. If the public parking lot is like our own private space, we can park wherever we want. Who can stand it? What can the cars behind do if they want to exit but are blocked by cars parked carelessly like this? They are cars, not bicycles or motorbikes, so they can't be moved to another place."
