Truck hits motorbike, 2 people die

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 11, at the Vinh market intersection (Vinh city), a serious traffic accident occurred between a truck and a motorbike, killing two girls.

Some witnesses said that at around 1:30 p.m. on January 11, a truck with license plate 37C-058.66 of Yen Nhi private enterprise was traveling on Phan Dinh Phung street in the direction of Cua Nam fish pond - Vinh city central park. When it reached Vinh market intersection, it suddenly collided with a motorbike with license plate 37K1-578.68 driven by two girls. The collision caused the two girls on the motorbike to fall onto the road, and were dragged under the truck, killing them on the spot.

At the scene, the motorbike was neatly placed under the truck, the two dead girls were lying more than 3 meters away from the motorbike.

Upon receiving the news, Vinh City Traffic Police and Public Security had to increase forces to regulate traffic.

According to Vinh City police, because the two girls were between 20 and 30 years old and had no identification papers, the police had to check their phone contacts to determine their identities.

After the accident, driver Tran Doan Bao Ngoc (born in 1990, residing in Nghia Dung commune, Tan Ky district) driving truck 37C-058.66 went to Hong Son ward police station to present himself.

The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
