Truck crashes into breakfast restaurant, 3 people hospitalized

(Baonghean.vn)- A truck crashed into a breakfast restaurant and an electronics repair shop on Highway 46 through Nam Dan town, Nam Dan district, sending three people to the emergency room.

At about 7:40 a.m. on August 15, a 15-ton truck with license plate 37C-161.60 driven by Nguyen Huu Truong (born in 1988), residing in Nam Giang commune, Nam Dan district, was traveling on National Highway 46 in the direction of Vinh City - Nam Dan.

When arriving at the area near Sa Nam market, Nam Dan town, the truck suddenly veered to the right side of the road, crashing straight into an electronics repair shop and a breakfast restaurant. Many people in the breakfast restaurant saw this and panicked and ran away to escape.

Electronics repair shop collapsed

The accident injured three people and required emergency hospitalization, including two identified as Ms. Pham Thi Ha (born in 1977, Nam Sa block, Nam Dan town), the restaurant owner, and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tuan (born in 1985, residing in Van Dien commune, Nam Dan) - the owner of an electronics repair shop.

Driver Truong was fortunately only slightly injured. Upon receiving the news, the Traffic Police of Nam Dan District quickly arrived at the scene to regulate traffic and investigate the cause of the accident.

At the scene, the electronics repair shop and breakfast restaurant were completely destroyed. Inside the breakfast restaurant, bricks and stones were scattered, and the tables and chairs were also damaged.

At around 9:30 a.m. on August 15, the owner of the car that had the accident hired a tow truck to come to the scene to take the car out, ensuring smooth traffic through the area again.
