Truck hits motorbike, grandchild dies, grandmother in critical condition

(Baonghean.vn) - At around 7:30 a.m. on March 11, on National Highway 1A through Cau Giat town (Quynh Luu district), a traffic accident occurred, causing 2 casualties.

Witnesses to the incident said that at the time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan (about 60 years old) in block 5 of Cau Giat town was driving a motorbike with license plate 37L1 - 101.69 on the way to take her child to kindergarten.

While she was turning across the intersection between two lanes to the other side of the road, she was hit by a truck with license plate 73C - 07475 traveling from Vinh to Hanoi, causing the two of them to fall onto the road.

Traffic police checked the scene and regulated traffic.

After the incident, people took the grandmother and her child to the emergency room, however, due to severe injuries, the child died on the way to the hospital, and Mrs. Loan is currently in the emergency room.
