In recent years, Vans have been chosen by many people due to their low price and low registration fee. Vans are mainly concentrated in two lines: Kia Morning and Chevrolet Spark.
Kia Morning Van and Spark Van are pickup trucks with only 2 seats in the front, the back compartment has no seats and is only used for storage. Because Vans are only allowed to carry two people (driver and passenger), so sometimes you want to carry more people but you can’t.
Because Vans do not have rear seats, many people after buying them "modify" the rear seats to have more seats when carrying more people. However, according to Decree 46, this will be fined up to 1 million VND for changing the structure of the vehicle.
Specifically, at Point d, Clause 3, Article 16 of Decree 46/2016/ND-CP of the Government regulating the handling of administrative violations in the field of road and railway traffic, Penalties for drivers of cars (including trailers or semi-trailers towed) and similar vehicles violating regulations on vehicle conditions when participating in traffic with a fine of 800,000 VND to 1,000,000 VND for the violation of driving a passenger car with additional or removed seats or beds.
In addition to being subject to penalties, the driver who commits the violation will also be required to remove the improperly installed equipment.
