Consider and propose to confer or posthumously confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of April 28, the Emulation and Reward Council of Military Region 4 held a conference to consider and propose conferring and posthumously conferring the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to collectives and individuals during the resistance war against France and the US.

Attending the conference were Major General Nguyen Khac Ngo - Deputy Director of the Propaganda Department - General Department of Politics; Major General Vo Van Viet - Political Commissar - Chairman of the Military Region's Emulation and Reward Council chaired the conference.

Overview of the conference

According to the proposal of the standing body of the Military Region's Emulation and Reward Council, 41/50 collectives and individuals, including 4 collectives in the anti-French war, 33 collectives and 4 individuals with achievements in the anti-American war belonging to units and localities of the Military Region, are qualified to be proposed for conferring or posthumously conferring the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.

After listening to the Council members' discussions and opinions, the Military Region's Emulation and Reward Council unanimously voted to propose that the Military Region's Party Committee Standing Committee consider and propose the Ministry of National Defense to consider and submit to the State to confer and posthumously confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces on 37 qualified collectives and 4 individuals; leaving 9 unqualified collectives./.
