Special consideration for disabled candidate Le Dinh Thanh to enter university
(Baonghean) -In this year's university entrance exam, at Vinh exam cluster, there was a candidate named Le Dinh Thanh, from Son An, Huong Son (Ha Tinh), residing in Yen Binh hamlet, Hung Dong commune (Vinh city) who was infected with Agent Orange, paralyzed both legs, had severe bronchitis, and could not walk by himself.
Although the Ministry of Education and Training has a policy of exempting disabled candidates from the exam and organizing admission based on academic records, due to limited information, the family did not know about the Ministry's policy, and I still applied for the exam like any other normal candidate. This morning, July 3, I went to the Vinh University Examination Council to complete the exam procedures. Because I could not travel by myself, my father met with the Examination Council and asked to be allowed to serve me and was guided by the school to complete the application.
The board of directors of Vinh University met to consider special treatment for candidate Le Dinh Thanh (sitting with his father on the left of the photo).
This afternoon, July 3, the Board of Directors of Vinh University, led by Associate Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa, Principal and Chairman of the Admissions Council of Vinh University, held a meeting to make a decision. Based on the policy of the Ministry of Education and Training, the application, medical records, wishes and academic records of the candidate, the decision was made to specially admit him to study at the school's accounting department. At the same time, they promised to create favorable conditions, help and support him during his studies at the school.
