(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 10, the Emulation and Reward Council of Nghe An province held a regular meeting. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council reported on the main tasks, limitations, and causes in the past time, and proposed directions for activities in the coming time. Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong directed and requested the Provincial People's Council to promote its role and responsibility, closely coordinate with functional agencies, and do a good job of commending outstanding achievements. In particular, it is necessary to do a good job of appraising, reviewing, and completing the supplementary files of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, resistance files, youth volunteer regimes, etc., especially in cases of lost or missing original documents, to meet the aspirations and contributions of policy beneficiaries to the country.

Pursuant to Notice No. 137-TB/TW of the Central Secretariat and Instruction No. 1607/BTĐKT-VI of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee; Pursuant to Instruction No. 1849/HD-CT of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Pursuant to the working results of the Standing Committee of the Emulation and Commendation Council of the Provincial Military Command on the proposal for the Commendation Councils at all levels to consider and propose the President to honor the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces for 8 collectives: Dai Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district; Linh Son commune, Anh Son district; Quynh Lien commune, Hoang Mai town; Quynh Thuan commune, Quynh Luu district; Hoa Son commune, Do Luong district; Hung Thong commune, Hung Nguyen district; Hung Dung ward, Vinh city; Nghi Huong ward, Cua Lo town);

The Provincial Military Command Council reviewed, discussed, voted unanimously, and continued to propose the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Military Region, Ministry of National Defense, and Central agencies to appraise, consider, and decide on awarding the title of People's Armed Forces Hero to the above 8 collectives.

Also at the meeting, the Provincial Emulation Council voted and unanimously awarded the Provincial Emulation Flag to Thanh Lien commune, Thanh Chuong district on the occasion of its 60th anniversary.
