The recently held competency assessment exam attracted the attention of many parents and students. |
The condition for candidates to submit applications for admission to faculties and member schools is that the competency assessment test must be 70 points or higher, depending on the major. For the University of Foreign Languages, candidates must score 6 points or higher in Foreign Language. The admission plan considers the competency assessment test scores from high to low until the quota is met. The Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy considers candidates who take the competency assessment test with the optional knowledge of Natural Sciences (including knowledge of Physics, Chemistry, Biology). This is also the faculty with the highest admission threshold score of 85 points.
Candidates who have participated in the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment exam must submit their application for the first round of admission to the majors of each member school and faculty from June 8 to the end of June. The condition for candidates to submit their application for admission to member schools and faculties is that the capacity assessment exam must be from 70 points or higher on June 25. Candidates can send their application for admission by post in the form of express mail, or submit it directly to the Admissions Council of the training unit they wish to study. During the prescribed time for receiving application for admission, candidates are allowed to withdraw their application once to apply to another major of the school or faculty they have submitted it to or another school or faculty within Hanoi National University.
Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, Vice President of Hanoi National University, Head of the Steering Committee for 2015 regular university admissions, said that candidates can register for a maximum of 3 majors of a training unit in order of priority: “When registering for admission to a member university of Hanoi National University, you can register for 3 wishes, not 1; arranged in order 1, 2, 3. For example, if you enter the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, you can register for the first wish for Journalism, the second for Philosophy, and the third for Literature. If you do not achieve the score for the first wish, you will automatically be considered for the second wish.”
According to Mr. Nguyen Kim Son, although the number of candidates taking the competency assessment test this year is high, with more than 43 thousand students, the ratio of candidates participating in the admission exam compared to the admission quota is the same as last year, candidates should not worry too much: “Candidates use the results of the competency assessment test to submit their application to training programs and we will consider admission from high to low according to the quota. If there are many applicants to that program, the admission score will of course be a little higher. However, I also note that the total number of candidates registering for the exam this year is not all applying to Hanoi National University, but some people are just taking the exam to know their abilities. Or they may also want to go to other schools. Second, like last year, the number of candidates taking the exam to Hanoi National University was also up to approximately 35 thousand. Thus, this year the exam format is more open, but compared to the number of candidates taking the exam in previous years, the number is only higher. just a little
When applying for admission, candidates are also entitled to preferential policies according to the target group and the examination area. Specifically, preferential points are added to the results of the competency assessment test. The difference in points between the next target groups is 5 points, between the next 2 regions is 2.5 points. To facilitate candidates' registration for admission, the Admissions Councils publicly announce information related to candidates' registration for admission, admission of training units; update candidates' registration information every 3 days on the website. The Admissions Councils of faculties and member schools of Hanoi National University will announce the list of admitted candidates (for candidates who have graduated from high school) and candidates who have reached the admission threshold (for candidates who have not graduated from high school) on the website before June 30. Candidates who have passed the first round of admission are not allowed to register for the additional round of admission./.
