Currently, universities and colleges in the province have not yet recruited enough students, opening up opportunities for candidates...

Students come to enroll at Nghe An University of Economics |
With some specific training majors such as Veterinary Medicine, Land Management, Plant Science, Economics, Accounting... Nghe An University of Economics plans to enroll about 600 students for university level, nearly 1,500 students for college and intermediate level. The opportunity for students to enter the school is not too difficult, because the school accepts students from all 4 groups A, A1, B, D and the admission score is only equal to the floor score set by the Ministry of Education and Training from 13 - 14 points. However, through two rounds of admission for the second wish, by September 10, the number of students coming to register for university level is only about 400 people, while the number of applications submitted for admission is about 700. To ensure enough students to enroll, the school will organize more admission rounds. In addition to university admission, there are still many opportunities for students to study at the college level of Nghe An University of Economics, because this year, the school has more than 1,500 quotas, but currently only nearly 400 students are enrolled. As for the intermediate level, students only need to submit their transcripts to be able to enter the school.
Vinh University of Industry has been assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to enroll about 2,800 students for both university and college programs and 1,200 for vocational colleges. However, up to this point, there have only been about 230 applications for the college program. To facilitate candidates, the school has proposed to the Ministry of Education and Training to add points for candidates with scores close to the threshold score, who have passed the screening round and the aptitude test that the school has previously implemented.
September 10 is also the last day Vinh University receives applications for the second choice. Previously, in the first round of admission based on the first choice, the school only recruited about 2,600/5,000 targets. Mr. Nguyen Hong Soa, Head of the General Administration Department, Vinh University, said: In recent years, the school has only recruited about 70-80% of its targets each year. Although there are not enough candidates, the school does not recruit for the third choice to ensure input quality. Through the number of candidates registering for admission this year, it can be seen that, besides some majors with a stable number of students such as Mathematics Pedagogy, Physics, Chemistry, and Construction Engineering, there are still some majors that are difficult to recruit. In particular, the majors of Agronomy - Agricultural Extension - Aquaculture, although only recruiting based on university results, the number of candidates registering for admission is still very low.
The most promising in this year's admission season is Vinh Medical University in terms of both entrance scores and the number of students enrolled. Therefore, although the minimum score for the General Practitioner program is 22 points, in the NV1 admission period, the school has recruited nearly 90% of the target, the remaining 10%, the school gives priority to students with high test scores, with the NV2 admission score being 22.5. Regarding the college system, the highest admission score is for Pharmacy College with 17 points (6 points higher than the prescribed threshold) and the school has basically recruited enough students. The remaining majors such as Nursing College and Midwifery College have also had about 80% of students enrolling.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the admission period for NV2 and NV3 starts from August 20, 2014, ends on October 31, 2014 for universities and November 15, 2014 for colleges. With such a long time, plus the quota at schools, there are still many opportunities for candidates who meet the minimum score threshold according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Statistics also show that currently, the number of candidates who meet the minimum score threshold accounts for 65% of the number of candidates taking the exam, so the source of recruitment for schools is still not lacking. However, recruitment is not easy, because currently, universities not only compete with each other but also with colleges and vocational schools.
In fact, the current trend is that most students and parents do not care much about which university they study at, but are most concerned about the output after graduation. Discussing this issue, Mr. Vu The Hai, Deputy Head of the Department of Vocational Education, Department of Education and Training, said: Information about unemployed students released right during the enrollment season has caused some difficulties for universities, especially lower-ranking universities during this enrollment season. However, we need to respect the choices of parents and students because the need for a job after graduation is legitimate. That also requires universities to innovate themselves, to change their training methods, to link training with practice, with finding jobs after graduation. If they do not do that well, the schools themselves will eliminate themselves.
With the new entrance exam method, the 2015 national exam will create big changes and greatly impact the admission to universities. This is also the time for schools to adjust themselves to have suitable plans; parents and students have plans to choose schools and careers appropriately. In which, the most important thing is to choose cases with ability, capacity, economy and create many opportunities to find jobs after graduation.
