Trial of the ringleader of the explosion at the police station and accomplices
Nguyen Khanh ordered his henchmen to plant a bomb and cause an explosion at the ward police station, injuring two people.
On September 21, the People's Court of Ho Chi Minh City opened a trial for defendant Nguyen Khanh (56 years old, residing in Dong Nai) and 19 accomplices for the crimes of "Terrorism against the people's government”; “Illegal manufacture, storage, and trading of explosives”.
Nguyen Khanh and his accomplices were the ones who threw the bomb at the police headquarters of Ward 12, Tan Binh District.
The trial is scheduled to last for 2 days, chaired by Judge Huynh Van Truc (Deputy Head of the Criminal Court of Ho Chi Minh City People's Court).

After recruiting more members, Hung founded the Vietnamese Dynasty organization. This reactionary organization regularly posts videos with content that slanders the Vietnamese State, calls on people to commit armed violence, buy explosives, make explosives to throw at State agencies, police headquarters, etc.
In addition, they also prepared weapons, gathered forces, and established bases in many provinces and cities to overthrow the regime and support the Viet Dynasty to lead the country.
Through social networks, Hung lured Nguyen Khanh to join the organization, promised to appoint him as Governor of Dong Nai province, and sent hundreds of millions of dong to Khanh to fund the recruitment of more members and carry out the sabotage plot.
After receiving the money, Khanh ordered explosives and detonators to manufacture 10 remote-controlled explosives to carry out terrorist activities.
On the evening of June 19, 2018, Khanh delivered two explosive devices to Vo Hoang Nam and Duong Khac Minh and instructed them on how to detonate them.
At 2:30 p.m. the next day, Nam and Minh went to the police station in Ward 12, Tan Binh District, and tried to place two explosives and detonate them remotely.
The explosion injured a reception officer and a resident, damaged many motorbikes, and cracked and broken house walls and some objects.
Through investigation, the police quickly arrested Nam and Minh. From the statements of these two subjects, Khanh and other members of this reactionary organization were caught one by one.
In addition to directing the bombing of the Ward 12 Police Headquarters, the investigation agency determined that Khanh also gave Nguyen Minh Tan (from Hau Giang, a member of the organization) 3 explosives with remote controls to commit crimes in Hau Giang and Kien Giang.
Not only did Khanh attract outsiders, he also lured his son Nguyen Tan Thanh into joining this reactionary organization.
