Eliminate complex drug hotspots in Que Phong

(Baonghean.vn) -In the early morning of April 15, the Drug Crime Prevention Police Department of Nghe An Police coordinated with the Protection and Mobile Police Department and Que Phong District Police to urgently arrest and search 11 subjects who illegally bought, sold, and harbored illegal use of drugs in Que Phong District.

Implementing the plan to eliminate complex drug hotspots in Que Phong district, after a long time of collecting sufficient documents and evidence, the Drug Crime Prevention Police Department of Nghe An Police established project 304X.

At 4:30 a.m. on April 15, 2013, the coordinating units executed a search warrant on 11 subjects at Long village, Muong Mun village, Muong Noc commune, Que Phong district for the illegal trading of narcotics and harboring illegal use of narcotics. The 11 subjects arrested included: Quang Van Dao (born in 1960); Vi Thi Liet (born in 1958); Luong Van Dan (born in 1986); Quang Van Hoa (born in 1969); Luong Thi Ha (born in 1979); Luong Van Xuan (born in 1984); Ha Van Hai (born in 1963), all residing in Muong Mun village; Vi Van Phong (born in 1975), Ha Van Toan (born in 1993); Vi Van Thai (born in 1964) and Vi Van Que (born in 1991) both reside in Luong village, Muong Noc commune, Que Phong district. The seized evidence included 16 packages of heroin, 01 small scale and some documents related to drug crimes.





The subjects were arrested at the investigation agency.

After being arrested, the subjects all confessed to illegally buying and selling drugs in Que Phong district and surrounding areas. These are drug dens that have existed in the area for a long time, causing much frustration for the local authorities and people. It is known that in the past 4 years, the Drug Crime Prevention Police Department of Nghe An Police has destroyed these dens 3 times.

The case is currently under further investigation.
