Hamlet 10, Nghi Thinh commune (Nghi Loc) celebrates solidarity

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 10, Hamlet 10, Nghi Thinh Commune (Nghi Loc) held a ceremony to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day and the National Great Unity Day in the residential area.

Hamlet 10, Nghi Thinh commune has an area of ​​45.5 hectares, 154 households with 585 people. Previously, the economy of Hamlet 10 mainly relied on agriculture, so it faced many difficulties. However, with dynamism, daring to think and dare to do, the people of Hamlet 10 boldly borrowed capital to change the crop structure, occupational structure and worked as workers in industrial parks in and outside the province...

Thanks to that, the economic structure of the hamlet has increasingly developed, and people's lives have gradually improved. Up to now, hamlet 10 has nearly 40% of well-off and rich households; the poverty rate is 1.3%; and the average income per capita is nearly 34 million VND/person/year.

Implementing the campaigns "All people unite to build culture in residential areas"; "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas" and "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" last year, Hamlet 10 has made efforts and strived and achieved encouraging results.

Specifically, in 2017, 32 million VND was donated to the movements: Fund for the poor; support for Agent Orange victims; Elderly Day and other solidarity movements. The movement to encourage learning has received attention from the people in the hamlet, mobilizing more than 4 million VND annually for the hamlet's Fund to encourage learning to reward students with high achievements.

In 2016, 86/145 students at all levels were commended and received awards. Cultural and sports institutions are regularly socialized, thereby meeting the cultural, artistic, and sports activities of the people in the village...

Up to now, 96% of households in hamlet 10 have achieved the title of cultural family.

Speaking at the Great Unity Day, Colonel Duong Minh Hien acknowledged and highly appreciated the results that the people in the hamlet had achieved. He affirmed that to achieve such great results, there was nothing other than the efforts and solidarity of the people with the Party cell and the hamlet executive committee. In the coming time, he requested the Party Committee and the government of Nghi Thinh commune in general, and the cadres and people of hamlet 10 to continue to unite and have high consensus in implementing the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented a picture of great solidarity to the people of hamlet 10 and 10 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to disadvantaged families; the Provincial Military Command presented gifts to the executive committee of hamlet 10.
