(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 25, Mr. Nguyen Sy Thang, Chief Inspector of Nghe An Department of Transport, said that the traffic inspection force had handled 9 vehicles and business owners for arbitrarily increasing ticket prices and carrying more passengers than the prescribed number during the Lunar New Year 2016.

Accordingly, through the hotline, the Nghe An Department of Transport Inspectorate received complaints from passengers about many bus companies taking advantage of the Tet holiday to increase ticket prices and carry more passengers than the regulations.

Many vehicle owners were punished for arbitrarily increasing fares and carrying more passengers than allowed during the 2016 Lunar New Year.

According to Mr. Nguyen Sy Thang, for violations of charging higher fares than the regulations, the authorities will punish ticket sellers; violations of carrying excess passengers or stuffing passengers for less than 300km will be fined 400,000 VND/passenger, over 300km will be fined 900,000 VND/passenger...
