Strictly punish principals who force students to buy uniforms against regulations

Recently, with the attention and direction of local authorities, current regulations on collecting and using school uniforms have been strictly implemented in most educational institutions. However, in some educational institutions, illegal collection and forcing students to buy uniforms still occur, causing public outrage. In response to this situation, the Ministry of Education and Training has just sent an official dispatch to the People's Committees of provinces and cities to rectify the situation of overcharging in educational institutions.

The Ministry of Education and Training requests the People's Committees of provinces and cities to guide, supervise and inspect educational institutions in their localities to implement school revenues and expenditures in accordance with current regulations. For contributions and sponsorships in the form of socialization to contribute to improving facilities, schools, and supporting educational activities, it is necessary to comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on funding for educational institutions in the national education system. The Ministry of Education and Training also requests the provinces and cities to inspect educational institutions on the implementation of their responsibilities in implementing school revenues and expenditures; and to take strict and timely measures against principals of educational institutions that allow negative incidents in taking advantage of the name of the parent-teacher association to collect or force students to buy school uniforms in violation of regulations.
