On the evening of February 19, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that it had handled an individual who posted false information, slander, and insulted the reputation of the police force on Facebook, causing public confusion.

Through information monitoring on cyberspace, Ho Chi Minh City Police discovered that Facebook account NMT posted many video clips recording the process of Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police performing their duties of checking and handling traffic participants violating alcohol concentration and incorporating many untrue and baseless contents.
Through verification, Ho Chi Minh City Police identified NMT (born in 1987, residing in District 12) as the person using the Facebook account NMT to post the above violating content.

At the police station, NMT admitted his actions, was aware that posting his information was a violation of the law, and pledged not to post similar information on social networks, and voluntarily removed illegal news, articles, and video clips.
