A representative of the State Bank said that over the past year, the implementation and service of exchanging small change in the grounds, relics and festivals has been rectified; the use of small denomination money has had positive changes: the phenomenon of installing, dropping money, and throwing small change at relics and festivals has decreased, but not completely.
In 2015, the State Bank will coordinate with ministries and branches to implement the policy more vigorously. If the police discover the exchange of small change and collect fees, violators will be punished according to Decree 96 on penalties in the monetary sector./.
