Punish drivers for overloading vehicles that exceed weigh stations and squeeze official vehicles

(Baonghean.vn) - On September 12, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vinh - Deputy Head of Load Control Station No. 15 located in Dien An Commune (Dien Chau District) said that he had decided to administratively fine driver Le Phuoc Hau (born in 1987, residing in Xuan Thuy Ward, Hue City) 6 million VND for overloading the vehicle.

The truck was overloaded and passed mobile weighing station number 15.

In addition, Load Control Station No. 15 also handed over records of violations of non-compliance with the orders of the authorities and non-compliance with vehicle load control to the Investigation Police Department of Dien Chau District Police for investigation and clarification.

Previously, at around 0:40 a.m. on September 8, the joint force on duty to control the weight at mobile weighing station No. 15 discovered a truck with license plate 75C-010.57 ignoring the order to stop for inspection and driving past the weighing station.

Immediately after that, Nghe An Department of Transport inspectors used official vehicles to chase the truck fleeing North-South on National Highway 1A. During the entire 5km stretch from the weighing station to the intersection turning into Nam Cam Industrial Park, despite the official vehicle turning on its siren and signaling to stop, the truck driver continuously swerved and squeezed the official vehicle.

At around 1am on September 8, the truck was successfully stopped by an official vehicle on National Highway 1A through Nghi Loc district. However, driver Le Phuoc Hau continued to resist by not presenting documents and refusing to take the truck to the weigh station. Only when the authorities brought in a crane could the truck be brought to the weigh station.

The vehicle weighing results showed that the 75C-010.57 vehicle had a total load of 42.5 tons, more than 3 times the allowable load that the vehicle was allowed to carry (8 tons of goods).

Mr. Vinh added that driver Hau also presented an overdue penalty notice for overloading, processed by Vehicle Weighing Station No. 15 on June 26, also for the error of carrying goods exceeding the permitted load by more than 50%.
