Publishing books on Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa
The Education Publishing House has just released the book "Evidence of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos".
Reading “Evidence of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos”, readers can clearly understand: Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos has been established for a long time, that is a historical truth and this is completely consistent with international law.
The book is the result of 40 years of scientific research by author Han Nguyen Nguyen Nha - an in-depth researcher on the topic of Hoang Sa - Truong Sa. The book is based on rich and diverse sources of documents collected both domestically and internationally; including documents from historical and highly legal documents such as the Nguyen Dynasty's Royal Records, documents implementing sovereignty of the Tay Son government, ancient books and maps of the Vietnamese feudal state, ancient documents and maps of the West and of the Chinese themselves related to the affirmation of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
Notably, through systematic research of the above sources, especially documents before 1909 (the year when the issue of sovereignty disputes over Hoang Sa began to arise), the author has helped readers grasp the process of discovery, actual possession, and enforcement of sovereignty since the 17th century by the feudal state of Vietnam through the management, operation, and annual organization of Hoang Sa and Bac Hai fleets to survey and measure hydrographic routes, draw maps, exploit resources, build temples and pagodas, erect steles, plant trees, create infrastructure, etc., considering them symbols of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.
The book "Evidence of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos" aims to promote propaganda and education about the sea and islands among the people in general and teachers, students and pupils in particular.
The book is part of the compilation program of the Specialized Bookcase: Vietnam's Sea and Islands of the Education Publishing House.
