Defendant Tran Hai Son answered his lawyer about giving his sister (Ms. Tran Thi Hai Ha) 2 billion VND: "After I received the amount of 1.666 million USD, when I gave my sister 2 billion, I did not say what the money was. Defendant Le Van Duong stated: "I have admitted that my actions were wrong. I am not qualified to fully evaluate whether this floating dock is good or bad. I hope the panel of judges will consider reducing my sentence. I did not receive any money from Son."
