Another outbreak of foot and mouth disease appeared in Dien Chau

(Baonghean.vn) -After controlling the foot-and-mouth disease epidemic in Dien Thai commune, a new outbreak has appeared in Dien Chau in 4 households in hamlet 16, Dien Doai commune.

Previously, Dien Chau Veterinary Station took samples for testing, and the results showed that 6 livestock including 4 cows, 1 buffalo and 1 pig of 4 households in hamlet 16, Dien Doai commune had foot-and-mouth disease.

The initial cause was determined to be that the sick livestock had not been vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease.LMLM). In addition, Dien Chau had an outbreak of LMLM in Dien Thai that had not passed 21 days, combined with the rainy and humid weather and seasonal changes that reduced the resistance of livestock, so the possibility of infection was high.

Immediately after detecting the epidemic, Dien Doai commune strengthened sanitation and epidemic prevention work throughout the commune. Dien Chau veterinary station promptly provided 48 liters of Benkocid to disinfect and spray and 500 doses of FMD vaccine to vaccinate all livestock in Dien Doai commune.

Up to now, Dien Chau has had 2 outbreaks of FMD; the district has issued a telegram requesting 39 communes and towns in the area to focus on preventing FMD and other diseases in livestock.
