Vietnam's rice exports are slowing down
Although businesses are racing to obtain rice export licenses, the Vietnam Food Association said that Vietnam's rice exports are slowing down in its assessment of the current market situation.
The reason for this situation is the pressure to sell off Thailand's rice stocks, so Vietnamese rice exporters will have to compete fiercely with Thailand to dominate the Philippines and Indonesia markets. According to the Vietnam Food Association, the market will continue to decline in the fourth quarter. Rice exports can only recover if they can meet demand in the final months of the year.
Faced with many export difficulties, the Vietnam Food Association has recommended that the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development review the output of summer-autumn and autumn-winter rice crops to balance export volumes appropriately.

Commenting on the recent rice production and export situation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that despite many achievements, the recent process has revealed many shortcomings, from management to production and export.
In particular, the connection between the market and processing, production and export business partners is still a certain gap, causing disruption and not bringing stability to agricultural production. The Ministry of Industry and Trade hopes that with the birth of the Planning of rice traders and exporters, the remaining problems will gradually be resolved. Regarding this topic, VTV reporter had an interview with Mr. Tran Tuan Anh - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Head of the Government's rice export management working group.
