According to VPA, the reason for the high increase in export output (up 23.5% compared to the same period) is because many farmers and businesses stored pepper at the beginning of the season and sold it at the end of the season ineffectively, so in early 2013, farmers sold it strongly, selling as much as they could. Because raw materials were abundant, export businesses also exported strongly, increasing dramatically compared to the same period.
According to records, since the end of March until now, pepper prices have decreased from 5,000 to 10,000 VND/kg, causing many difficulties for farmers. Meanwhile, the world price market has recently been complicated and downward.
However, according to VPA, in the coming time, the export price of pepper is likely to increase, businesses need to calmly consider and analyze the supply - demand, and the global pepper price market. VPA also recommends that people should choose the time to sell at a good price, not to sell in a concentrated manner, causing the price to drop.
