Mr. Nguyen Tan Phuong, Team LeaderXuan Ly clean orange growing cooperative(Tan Phu, Tan Ky) said: "The group has 25 households growing clean oranges according to VietGAP standards with an area of ​​nearly 30 hectares, with an estimated output of about 300 tons. Xuan Ly clean orange products have been certified to meet VietGAP standards, and have been recognized as 3-star OCOP at the provincial level. If in previous years, oranges were ordered in advance by traders, when they "opened the farm" to harvest, they would come to the place to buy. But this year, with the epidemic like this, we don't know where to find an outlet for oranges."

Considered the "capital"Orange Vinh, Quy Hop has over 1,500 hectares of oranges. In previous years, oranges were purchased by local traders, imported to Vinh and sold to provinces and cities across the country. Preparing to enter the 2021 orange harvest in the context of the Covid-19 epidemic having a significant impact on the consumption of agricultural products, Quy Hop orange growers are quite worried.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Hung, Head of the Department of Agriculture of Quy Hop district, said: “Currently, there are about 40-50 small traders in the area, purchasing oranges at the farm and importing them to provinces and cities across the country. This year, determining that the complicated developments of the epidemic will affect the output of oranges, Quy Hop has established a Committee to mobilize support for the consumption of citrus products in the district, headed by the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee. The Committee is responsible for supporting and finding output for citrus products by contacting businesses and factories inside and outside the province to include them in the workers' diet; Contacting mass media and websites to promote and support product consumption.

On the other hand, the district has specifically compiled a list of orange growing households, the number of traders purchasing oranges in the area and grasped the market, sending information to the province to receive support in promoting, promoting trade, and consuming oranges through e-commerce platforms.

According to preliminary statistics, the current area of ​​oranges in the fruit exploitation period in the whole province is 5,254 hectares, with an estimated harvest output of over 58 thousand tons. The harvest season of Vinh oranges takes place around the beginning of October, ripens in November, December and lasts until February of the following year. To consume oranges and tangerines and avoid backlog during the harvest season, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Provincial Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center are developing a plan to consume Vinh oranges during the period affected by the Covid-19 epidemic through e-commerce platforms.

Accordingly, the authorities will complete the steps to bring Vinh orange products to e-commerce platforms such as Viettel, Post Mart, organize online connections for agricultural product consumption nationwide; guide people on the process of online sales, marketing, customer care through online markets... At the same time, promote the connection for orange consumption through channels: organize the Forum for connecting agricultural product consumption in the Central region in Nghe An; organize the Nghe An agricultural product introduction week in Hanoi;...

Thereby, the company has linked with 2,000 large and small agents, 350 collaborators nationwide, stably consuming about 1,300,000 products/year, with revenue of 2.6 billion VND.

In addition, the company's rice paper products have also been present in the markets of several countries such as Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and will soon be exported to the Japanese market. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phuong, Director of the Company said: "Thanks to participating in trade promotion booths in and outside the province, our rice paper products are known to many customers and many partners place orders. It can be said that this is a very effective channel for promoting and introducing products."

But if there is no promotion, no introduction through trade promotion programs, it is very difficult to connect with output."

It can be affirmed that, nowadays, the thinking of farmers and agricultural production and trading enterprises has changed. They do not simply produce rice, vegetables, fruits, chickens, fish, etc., but they know how to find ways to promote and introduce their products, thereby finding and connecting with the consumer market.
