(Baonghean) - Ms. Le Thi Sau is currently the Party Cell Secretary and Principal of Cong Thanh Commune Kindergarten, Yen Thanh District. She is a shining example of a Catholic who "respects God and loves the country". Since entering the education sector, she has continuously been a grassroots Emulation Fighter, a provincial Emulation Fighter for 6 years, a district People's Council delegate for 2 consecutive terms, and was awarded a certificate of merit by the Provincial People's Committee Chairman.

Ms. Le Thi Sau was born and raised in a Catholic family in Ngoc Long Parish, Cong Thanh Commune. She joined the profession in 1976 and in 1979 she was given the responsibility of being the principal. At that time, Cong Thanh Kindergarten had no facilities, classrooms had to be borrowed from people's houses and warehouses, teachers' salaries were paid in rice, cassava, and potatoes. However, thanks to her love for the profession and children, Ms. Le Thi Sau, together with the School Council, stuck with it and built a spacious, clean school with enough places to eat, sleep, study, and work for the children and teachers in both areas. In 2006, Cong Thanh Kindergarten was recognized as a national standard school and from then on the school established its own Party cell. Ms. Le Thi Sau was elected to hold the position of Party cell Secretary until now.

Not only taking care of school work, she also tries to take care of her family. Together with her husband, she has taken care of their education and growth of 4 children. Currently, the eldest child, Le Thi Giao, is a party member and a teacher at the school; the second child, Le Minh Hoang, is a worker at Yen Thanh cassava starch processing factory; the third child, Le Minh Phuc, is a bulldozer operator; and the youngest child, Le Thi Loc, also followed her mother's career, graduated from preschool education, and is now a teacher at the school.

I asked: "During the years working in the education sector, what is the most beautiful memory you remember?" - She confided: "In 1986, when I went to study at the Provincial Front School, my first child was only 10 months old and had to be brought along. Those days were difficult beyond description. Once, Mr. Nguyen Van Bong - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Thanh district visited and gave the child 2 sets of clothes. The gift was small but at that time it was very precious and memorable. However, it can be said that the most beautiful, happiest, honorable and proud memory was in 1997, when I was admitted to the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam. That was the recognition of the collective and superiors for my efforts, so that I had the conditions to continue to strive and contribute".

Regarding the recent incident in Nghi Phuong (Nghi Loc), she said firmly: "In my opinion, both salary and education have been and are in the hands of society, and as a society, there must be discipline and laws. In other words, we must obey the law, we cannot separate ourselves from society, from the community...".

Saying goodbye to Ms. Le Thi Sau, I secretly admired the female Party Secretary, an excellent and straightforward Principal, who had made efforts to build Cong Thanh Kindergarten from a place with almost no facilities to a national standard school in a poor rural area. She truly deserves to be a shining example of a Catholic who “respects God and loves the country”.
