(Baonghean) -Mr. Dang Cao Thang - Deputy Director of Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs:

With the mission of helping women sold in human trafficking cases, recently, the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has coordinated with the police, local authorities and other functional units to successfully rescue many victims and reunite them with their families. After receiving the victims, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs supports them by taking them to victim reception centers, providing health care, vocational training, legal advice for the victims, and coordinating with localities to create jobs and help them stabilize their lives.

Faced with the current painful situation of human trafficking, especially after the series of articles "Human trafficking pain" published in Nghe An newspaper, we see the need to further strengthen information and propaganda activities, creating a change in awareness in the community, especially women and children at risk or who have been victims of trafficking. From there, create widespread public opinion in society, condemn and prevent human trafficking crimes in the province; as well as to make people more sympathetic to the victims after being brought back, eliminate inferiority complexes, and reintegrate well into the community. Most of the victims are women and children in difficult circumstances, with limited awareness, poor families, lack of capital, no jobs or unstable jobs, have been exploited and deceived abroad, so they need the joint help of the whole society.

In the coming time, the industry will coordinate better with police agencies and local authorities at all levels to combat human trafficking crimes. In cases where victims have returned to their localities after being successfully rescued, they need to submit an application for the Department to consider and support them in accordance with regulations. In cases where the victims have not been rescued by the agency as mentioned by Nghe An Newspaper, the family should report to the authorities, through which the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will coordinate with the police to determine initial information about the victims and take steps to rescue them.
