Yamaha discontinues Exciter 135 manual clutch
This is the affirmation of Mr. Hoang Ha, Marketing Director of Yamaha Vietnam at the launch ceremony of Exciter 150.
During the launch ceremony of the Exciter 150 in Vietnam on the morning of December 18, Mr. Hoang Ha, Marketing Director of Yamaha Vietnam, confirmed that the company will stop producing the "legendary" manual clutch version of the Exciter 135 to make way for the Exciter 150. Yamaha's representative also said that the automatic clutch version of the Exciter 135 will continue to be produced.

According to Yamaha, the target customers of the newly launched Exciter 150 are young people aged 18 to 25, this is the segment that the Exciter 135 currently holds, so the move to stop production of the manual clutch Exciter 135 version is considered to avoid unnecessary confrontation between Yamaha's "brothers".
Exciter 135 manual clutch was introduced in April 2011, after more than 4 years of existence, this model has created a storm in the popular manual clutch motorbike segment, continuously being in the top best-selling products of Yamaha in Vietnam. In just the first 9 months of 2014, 116,212 were delivered to customers.

By launching the Exciter 150 at a price lower than many people expected, Yamaha will transfer potential customers from the Exciter 135 to the new product.
The company representative also said that the target customers of the Exciter 150 that Yamaha wants to target are those who are driving manual motorbikes and want to experience the excitement of driving a manual motorbike. Therefore, the company is keeping the automatic clutch version of the Exciter 135 as a move to transition to the Exciter 150. In addition, the company also wants to attract more customers who are driving scooters in the price range of over 40 million VND.
The newly launched Exciter 150 has been highly appreciated by both experts and the public for both its design and price, so it is predicted that this will be a hot model at the end of the year in our country.
