According to the news agency THX/AFP/TTXVN, a government official said on March 28, a series of explosions occurred at an arms depot in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, killing dozens of people.

"Hundreds of people gathered near the Jabel Hadeed weapons depot in Aden city to seize weapons, but unfortunately bombs in the depot exploded, killing dozens of people," the unnamed official said.

The arsenal, located at the foot of Jabal Hadid mountain, contains a large amount of Soviet-era weapons.

Last week, soldiers guarding the site abandoned their posts after their commanders fled amid growing chaos in Yemen.

On the same day, a Gulf diplomatic official stressed that the Arab coalition will not accept the "coup" of the Houthi rebels and wants Yemenis to push for the resumption of national dialogue.

The official said Saudi-led air strikes would continue until Yemen could resume a UN-backed political transition.

Therefore, it will take Arab countries many months to achieve the goals of this military campaign, but all parties in Yemen will have a place in the process of drafting a new constitution./.
