Yen Thanh: 2 children died from drowning

(Baonghean.vn) -At around 12 noon on September 13, in Hamlet 1, Minh Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh District, Nghe An), a tragic drowning incident occurred, killing two siblings, Nguyen Cong Hoang Anh (4 years old) and Nguyen Cong Hoang Gia (2 years old), the son of Nguyen Cong Dinh and Nguyen Thi Tham.

Mr. Nguyen Van Bay - Vice Chairman of Minh Thanh Commune People's Committee, said: in the morning of the same day, Mr. Dinh and his wife took their two children to their grandparents' house (in the same neighborhood) to go to work in the fields. After having lunch at their grandparents' house, Hoang Anh and Hoang Gia invited each other to go to their grandparents' pond next to their house to play and unfortunately fell into the pond.

When the grandparents found out and called for help, it was too late, the two children had died.
