Yen Thanh elects key positions of People's Council and People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 1, Yen Thanh solemnly opened the first session of the 19th District People's Council, term 2016-2021.

Overview of the meeting

At the meeting, the delegates heard the election results report and the confirmation report of 43 elected candidates qualified to be district People's Council delegates for the 2016-2021 term. Accordingly, the election in Yen Thanh district took place in absolute safety, high democracy, ensuring the structure and number of elected delegates, and improving the quality of delegates. The voter turnout rate reached 95%, Yen Thanh elected 43 district People's Council delegates and 1,013 commune People's Council delegates.

Also in this session, the District People's Council elected key positions of the District People's Council, the District People's Committee and the 19th District People's Council jury. Comrade Nguyen Van De - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the District Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the 19th District People's Council with 43/43 votes, reaching 100%; 2 Vice Chairmen of the District People's Council including Comrade Nguyen Thi Nhan and Comrade Luu Xuan Tien, with 100% of the votes.

The District People's Council also elected Mr. Phan Van Tuyen as Chairman of the District People's Committee; Vice Chairmen of the District People's Committee including: Nguyen Thanh Ha, Nguyen Vuong Ngoc and Hoang Danh Truyen with high number of votes; the District People's Council meeting also elected the Head and Deputy Head of the Socio-Economic Committee, the Legal Committee and 20 People's Jury delegates of the District People's Council.
