Yen Thanh supports the relocation of 4,000 electric poles on the road

(Baonghean.vn) -Yen Thanh district has a policy to support relocation of more than4,000 electric poles -"traps" on rural roads to safety.

Currently, in Yen Thanh district, there are more than 4,000 electric poles located on the roadside, causing loss of aesthetics and traffic safety, and have not been handled for many years.

After Nghe An Newspaper reported, Yen Thanh district had solutions to support localities in relocating these "traps".

The "unlucky" electric poles on the rural road in Yen Thanh will be relocated to ensure traffic safety.

At the July 2016 District People's Council meeting, Yen Thanh agreed to support 100,000 VND/pole to move electric poles on the roadway and sidewalk to another location.

At this time, the communes are reviewing to make a request for financial support. However, according to the feedback from the localities, to relocate these electric poles will require much higher funding, because some of the electric poles are damaged and need to be replaced.

Mr. Bui Trong Long - Chairman of Ma Thanh Commune People's Committee said: "With the support of the district, we will soon relocate the "unlucky" electric poles to safe locations. However, to facilitate and reduce costs for the locality, we need the coordination and support of the electricity industry."
