Yen Thanh: More than 200 youth union members help farmers produce winter crops

(Baonghean.vn) - SOn October 4, in Ly Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district youth union organized a ceremony to launch winter crop planting.contributing to helping farmers in the district achieve the production target of 3,700 hectares of crops in the 2015 winter crop.

Over 200 youth union members from 9 communes in the southern part of the district participated in the launching ceremony. Accordingly, grassroots union chapters registered to undertake youth projects and tasks such as: organizing dredging and clearing the internal irrigation system.

More than 200 youth union members went to the fields to help people in hamlet 9, Ly Thanh commune, with irrigation and care for winter corn on double-rice land.

Each youth union base undertakes or directs at least 2 youth union branches to receive areas to grow winter crops, in which the focus is on expanding the area on 2-rice land. Strengthen coordination with specialized sectors to do a good job of scientific and technical consulting, helping youth union members and farmers to apply effectively in production.
