Yen Thanh: Commencement of construction of a house of gratitude for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 12, Trung Thanh commune (Yen Thanh) coordinated with the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province to organize a groundbreaking ceremony to build a gratitude house for Vietnamese Heroic Mother Hoang Thi Nhan.

Vietnamese Heroic Mother Hoang Thi Nhan is 97 years old this year, the mother of two martyrs Vo Van The and Vo Van Giap who died in the resistance war against America, currently living in a dilapidated level 4 house. Given her difficult circumstances, Nhon Trach 2 Petroleum Power Joint Stock Company (Dong Nai) and the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province supported the construction of a level 4 house with three rooms, with a usable area of ​​nearly 40 m2, with a total cost of 180 million VND.

Leaders of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An province presented 50 million VND to mother Hoang Thi Nhan.

At the ceremony, Mr. Ho Duc Thanh - Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Nghe An Province, on behalf of Nhon Trach Oil and Gas Company and the Association, visited and presented 50 million VND to support the construction of a house of gratitude for the heroic Vietnamese mother. At the same time, he hoped that local authorities at all levels, mass organizations, relatives and neighbors would join hands to provide more material and spiritual support so that Mother Hoang Thi Nhan could soon live in a new house. On this occasion, the District Fatherland Front and the Women's Union of Yen Thanh District also supported Mother with 2 million VND.
