Yen Thanh Celebrates 70th Anniversary of Taking Power

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 25, Yen Thanh district solemnly held a rally to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution - National Day September 2 and the day Yen Thanh people took power August 25, 1945 - August 25, 2015.

August 25, 1945 has gone down in the history of Yen Thanh district as a brilliant milestone, symbolizing the revolutionary spirit of the people of the district.

70 years ago, along with the revolutionary spirit of the whole country, tens of thousands of Yen Thanh people from all communes and villages rose up to seize power from the colonialists and feudalists, establishing a provisional revolutionary People's Committee. From a young government, under the leadership of the Party, after 70 years of construction, striving and growing, Yen Thanh has now had quite a development, rapid economic growth, infrastructure investment, planning and construction in a synchronous and modern direction.

The authorities of the People's Committee of Yen Thanh district have focused on leading specialized departments and offices to strengthen state management, advise on the development, drafting and effective implementation of 15 projects and 6 plans on economic, cultural and social development.

Overview of the celebration

Thanks to that, the district's economic structure has shifted in the right direction; the production value in 2015 is estimated at 10,192 billion VND; the growth rate is 13.65%; the average budget revenue increases by 15% each year; the average income per capita is 26.15 million VND/year.

Foreign affairs activities, introduction of planning and potential advantages have been enhanced; administrative procedure reform in various fields and issuance of necessary policies and mechanisms have created a favorable environment to attract investors. Culture and society have achieved many remarkable results.

The national target program on new rural construction has created a widespread movement, striving to have 13 communes in the district meeting new rural standards by the end of 2015.

The people believe in the Party's leadership, enthusiastically compete, work and produce, and build their homeland to become increasingly rich, beautiful, and civilized.
