Yen Thanh celebrates Vietnam Education Promotion Day

(Baonghean.vn)- On October 2, Yen Thanh District's Association for Promoting Education celebrated Vietnam's Education Promotion Day and summarized the 2015 education promotion work.

Thanks to the good implementation, propaganda and mobilization, and diversification of activities, up to now, the education promotion association organizations from the district to the grassroots level in Yen Thanh district have been consolidated, strictly complying with the operating regulations and regulations on management of the education promotion fund. The total number of members in the district is up to more than 46,000 people, reaching 17% of the district's population.

Award certificates to outstanding groups and individuals

The district is effectively maintaining the "Drum of Learning Promotion" and "Gong of Learning Promotion"; effectively launching "Tet of Learning Promotion" and "Month of Learning Promotion"; meeting with successful children and grandchildren who work far from home, meeting with generations of successful students; donating to support fund building, awarding students with achievements, and granting scholarships to students in difficult circumstances who strive to study well...

Many association bases have large balances in the scholarship fund from 200 to more than 400 million VND or more such as Van Thanh, Nam Thanh, Phu Thanh. During the year, the District Association also reviewed and provided financial support to 60 children in difficult circumstances; rewarded 18 students studying at universities who had high achievements in studying, cultivating, training well and graduating with honors; rewarded 13 students who achieved high scores in the university entrance exam with a total amount of more than 40 million VND.

At the ceremony, 2 individuals were awarded commemorative medals for their career in promoting education. 4 groups and 2 individuals with achievements in promoting education, promoting talents, and building a learning society in 2015 were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of Yen Thanh District People's Committee.
