Yen Thanh: Awarding prizes to excellent teachers and students at the provincial level

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of May 15, Yen Thanh district held an award ceremony for teachers and students with high achievements in the provincial competitions for excellent teachers and excellent students in the 2014-2015 school year. Standing representatives of the district Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Yen Thanh district; principals of kindergartens, primary schools, and secondary schools in the area attended.

Awarding certificates of merit to excellent students at provincial level

This time, the whole Yen Thanh district has 294 teachers and students receiving certificates of merit and awards. Among them, there are 57 excellent students of grade 9; 91 excellent students of grade 11; 8 students won prizes at the contest "Science and technology research for high school students of Nghe An province"; 20 teachers achieved the title of excellent teachers at the provincial level, including 1 excellent teacher; 118 teachers have achievements in training excellent students of the province. Schools with high achievements include Hong-Phu Secondary School, Lang Thanh Secondary School, Bach Lieu Secondary School. In particular, Phan Thuc Truc High School is ranked 8th out of 91 high schools in the province in terms of the percentage of students winning prizes.

Awarding certificates of merit to teachers with excellent students at the provincial level

This achievement is thanks to the district's education and training sector's increased solutions to improve the quality of education; the efforts in teaching and learning of schools, teachers and students at all levels; and the promotion of learning and talent promotion in the area.

Along with awarding certificates of merit, the District People's Committee also allocated funds to reward each student who won the first prize 500,000 VND; second prize 300,000 VND; third prize 200,000 VND; consolation prize 100,000 VND. Teachers who achieved the title of excellent teacher at the provincial level received 300,000 VND; teachers who trained each student who won the first prize were awarded 500,000 VND; second prize 300,000 VND, third prize 200,000 VND, consolation prize 100,000 VND. The total budget was over 58 million VND./.
